Born in the late 80's, Maq was born and raised on Manhattan's lower east side. Raised in Alfred E. Smith housing, he is no stranger to Harlem home of the 'STARS'. Born in the late 80's, Maq was born and raised on Manhattan's lower east side. Raised in Alfred E. Smith housing, he is no stranger to Harlem home of the 'STARS'. A raising star himself, Maq is one of the few L.E.S. lyricists to date to make a real buzz in today's street music game. As a new comer to the game, Maq has worked with various producers such as Fokis and SevenDiter. In 2008, Maq was featured on the "A Walk Through MySpace Vol.1" mix tape produced by Fokis. It was rated the hottest song on the album by XXL magazine. He is also well-known on the lower east side for preforming at the hottest lounges such as; Pyramid and Sapphire. In the mist of co-producing a mix tape, (Hood Report Vol. 1) with another raising star J-Budda, Maq sticks to hard work and dedication both in and out the out the studio. In late 2009, Maq signed with Wet Paint Entertainment, an up and coming record company. He is currently working on his two mix tapes, "All About Big Face" and "MaQ & The Ladies." Both are expected to be released early summer of 2010.
