MANDATORY is a thrash/proggressive band from Israel. It all started somewhere between 2005 and 2006 when Tal Yogev and Guitarist Gil David, quit thier band "Gloomy Swamp" in search of some heavier roots. Tal Kfir, a good friend of them back then, joined the band as the drummer; Nitzan Sheps was somehow found through the net and soon became the Front man and the rythem guitar player. The band back then was named "ATMOSFEAR" and in the summer of 2006 Gil parted ways with the band after a 3 month break. Aviv Priel was there to take his place...and Mandatory was created. The late summer of 2006 brought the first single to the world - ''Land Redemption" - once an Atmosfear song. In the summer of 2007, After Tal left th band, Their latest single was recorded in The Maklet studios. Their latest single is a good example of their unique style.
