December 2008

First – a very joyful holiday to y’all and a blessed and musical year to you.

This year is winding up with all the bells and whistles – my new cd is doing good – I’m playing for kids – and I even have summer workshops for songwiriting for kids lined up! Thanks for listening and for your support this year. Y’all are the best.

November 2008

Whew! What a month of music, music, music. Grandpa’s Car, my new cd, is finally out (up on Amazon and soon on CDBaby). Tomorrow I get to debut the songs for some 4th grade classes. And…I received a 2008 Children’s Web Music Award for one of the songs on this cd, Old Mr. Digger Dum. This contest was judged by children throughout the country. I’ve posted Digger Dum among “My Stuff”. Enjoy.

September 2008

Hey everyone, Here is some nice news. I have 5 finalist spots in the 2008 Children’s Music Web Awards. The judges in this contest are the kids! Winners will be announced in about a month and I will keep you posted. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for making GRANPA’S CAR a win. Your friendship and support is so much appreciated. Love, Madeline

First off, thank all of you supportive musicians out there. I know this is not a children’s music site, and y’all have been so accepting and encouraging toward me. I do appreciate it.

I got my two 9 year old grandsons into the studio with me a few days ago and we recorded THERE AIN’T NO BUGS ON ME. It was amazing to see what kids could do with a song that they had to learn right then and there. We got the song down in a few hours work … the biggest delays coming from the frequent fits of giggles. Laughter and dancing and singing along is what children’s music is all about – makin’ it pure fun. Then, maybe, they can find the joyous music that is already inside them.
