Originally formed in 1989 as Electric Boy with Chris Turcotte (Lead Vocals/Drums), Skip Helbig (Lead Guitar/Vocals), John Gilbert (Bass/Vocals) and Tim DeRito (Rhythm Guitar) this group of four proceeded to make a name for themselves in Massachusettes on the South Shore. The band was later renamed Aces High in 1990 after much debate but the name change never slowed them down. Originally formed in 1989 as Electric Boy with Chris Turcotte (Lead Vocals/Drums), Skip Helbig (Lead Guitar/Vocals), John Gilbert (Bass/Vocals) and Tim DeRito (Rhythm Guitar) this group of four proceeded to make a name for themselves in Massachusettes on the South Shore. The band was later renamed Aces High in 1990 after much debate but the name change never slowed them down. As Aces High they continued to write original songs with catchy hooks with Chris Turcotte heading up the effort. By mid 1991 and after a successful run by local standards, various circumstances forced Aces High to disband. The members lost contact until recently. In a true twist of irony and through various coincidences and happenings, still unreal to the members themselves...they reunite, and find the "magic" remains.
