Slowly I surface out of the abyss to breathe. It has been a hard past 3 months. My youngest son has been diagnosed with a learning disability and took a major turn for the worse at the end of March. He needed much of my undivided attention which I more than willingly gave. We don’t know exactly what he has or why, but doing research on my own, I have discovered that a lot of his symptoms are towards Autism. I know I’m being guided and inspired with how to help him because all the suggestions and recommendations for children with autism or those who have autistic tendencies, I have already been doing. One of the major things is a complete diet overhaul, a “purification”, if you will. I am working on moving him to an almost complete fresh food diet. The transition is taking some time. So please forgive me if I’m still not around as much as I used to be or if I haven’t returned your message yet. On top of this all I’m still working on the music project Emeria and promoting my album.

Speaking of Emeria, we have a few things to update you on! Our website is almost complete and looks terrific! Adam has been working really hard on it. Here’s the link – www.emeriamusic.com We also have a Facebook page. Just search Emeria and it will be on top (at least it was for me!). And because Emeria had a Facebook page, I had to make one for me too! I have a personal one and a musician page. Please don’t feel offended if I don’t accept your friend request on my personal page – I’m reserving that for people who I know pretty well, family, and people I went to school with. Search Lori Cunningham as well.

Adam is almost done mixing a new song for Emeria. I’ll let you know when it’s done and up. It’s going to be our entry for the Ambient/Chill channel next month.

Within in the next couple of days some Lori Cunningham music will be playing on Jango radio. I need 50 “Likes” to stay in rotation. I would love any help I can get in that department! Next week sometime I’ll have a professional looking blog that I’m going to be updating on a regular basis. All of my other blogs will direct to there from now on. That will save me from going to 5 different places to post the same blog.

Thanks OurStage! I may take breaks, but I’ll never be completely gone!

April 2009

Yes, I’ve been getting that a lot lately! “Where are you?” Sorry friends that I haven’t been around as much. Several things have been happening all at once and it’s taking me away from the virtual world more than ever.

First of all, there are some things going on with my family that demands more of my time and attention. Something has to go so I can have more time for this situation, so the most logical place to cut back is my computer time. Don’t worry, it’s not a life or death situation or a crisis or anything, but it’s still important and needs my time. Second, I only have a few more precious weeks before summer break for my kids. I’m kicking tracks out left and right as fast as I can because once those kids are home all the time, recording goes out the window. There are several new Emeria tracks either finished or in the works. If you haven’t checked out that project in a while, please go over to www.ourstage.com/fanclub/emeria. There are some finished collaborations (including one with Wharmton Rise) and some others in the works. I also have been working on a couple recording jobs, one of which is for the upcoming lullaby album by Jennifer Thomas and her mother, Carolyn Southworth. I have NEVER spent so much time recording vocals before, but we’re all very pleased with how they’ve turned out! I’m super excited for that album to be complete. It will definitely be a full masterpiece from beginning to end. Third, I’ve finally broken down and joined a gym. Watch out – I can beat you up now! hehe… Because of schedules, most of the time I get up between 4 and 4:30am so I can get a really good, intense workout. Couple that with not going to be early enough = a tired woman. :)

That is really my life at the moment. Please feel free to stop by, leave a comment, or just say hi! If you’ve emailed me, please be patient as it’s taking me longer to respond than it used to.

Enjoy life to its fullest. Tell people you care about you love them. Don’t pass up on opportunities. Never feel like you’re a failure – you’ll miss precious, precious time. Never give up on your dreams!

Love and laughter, Lori :)
