Liz Lohnes is an accomplished singer/songwriter from Boston. She is in her second year at Berklee College of Music. Liz has won many contests and awards. She is most proud of being awarded the United Diva Scholarship. United Divas encourages women to be positive role models and leaders. Liz said " It was an honor to receive this award, especially because it is something I feel strongly about".

Liz wrote the music and the lyrics to all of the songs on her page. She has recently started her own band. The Liz Lohnes Band made their debut at All Asia in Cambridge, MA. All Asia is a favorite hangout of the college students where original music is performed. Liz recently performed her original music at All Asia to a full house. She was well received and invited back to perform again.

Liz’s original music has been played on several radio stations. She has performed with American Idol Ayla Brown who she met when Ayla called in to Liz as a surprise when Liz was being interviewed by a local radio station. Liz also performed at American Idol Kimberly Locke’s Block Party with WSRS another radio station who requested an interview with Liz.

Liz has also performed at many large venues such as The Apollo Theater, Gillette Stadium, TD Bank North Garden, The Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, Downtown Crossing Summer Concert Series in Boston to name a few.

Most recently Liz’s original song “Do Your Thing” was chosen by Serena Williams herself as one of the five finalist in a world wide songwriting contest to be Serena’s theme song.

Liz’s original song “Reaching for the Stars” won her a spot on the Myspace Music Calendar. They were looking for original music that was inspiring. They were also considering her song “Do Your Thing”. Liz was truly honored to be featured for the month of April.
