Link Alastair Valiant, born in April of 1977, grew up in the modest town of Mundelein, IL, USA. He lived and learned about music starting at the age of five, taught mostly by his late grandfather, Tony Schell (saxophonist for the A-Chords jazz band and a tutor to many others, also known in his earlier days as Tony Perry.) Though his steady musical study took a break in his second year of high school, he picked it back up again, continuing to study saxophone as well as ocarina, bamboo flute, and recorder, and mainly vocals and music composition and lyrics. Today, he continues to focus on these in writing music of a smooth, unique combination of rock and roll, pop, some rhythm and blues, and contemporary songs. In addition, he has written music for video games. His more recent projects involve the games "Lost Legacy: An Animania Story" and "Threshold" by Live Interactive Fictional Entertainment (L.I.F.E.), which will be free RPG type video games. "Lost Legacy: An Animania Story" based in the Dark Ages about two siblings in a quest to train in their martial art to help save the known world from the rule of a vile emperor, and they do this with the help of some popular anime and video game characters. "Threshold" happens in the future, when the main character of the series finds himself in an eerie Limbo-like mansion after his death and must fight for his memories and the very weave of existence. Link became a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, or ASCAP, and has been since June of 2006. His education is in the field of commercial music at Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, Texas, USA, where he earned his Certificate in Commercial Music Performance, his Associates in Applied Science in Commercial Music Performance, and his Associates in Applied Science in Commercial Music Composer, Arranger, and Copyist.
