I remember when Hip Hop artists used to go into the booth with the mentality: “How can I make something amazing and blow peoples minds.” Now it seems the mentality is more:“How can I lay down this next hit?”

I sometimes wonder if we’re forgetting what made Hip Hop so relevant in the first place?
