About K. Ross

Dallas, TX

As a new upcoming hip hop star, K. Ross’s experience in the rap game, coupled with his amazing growth as an individual has placed him in a position only a handful of people in this industry reach. Kay Ross AKA “K. Ross” is a top-notch hip hop artist whose lyrics and artistic vision tower over the competition. K. Ross, 20, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas in a neighborhood called Oak Cliff. As a child, the aspiring hip hop artist listened to and idolized early Cash Money recording artists like Juvenile , Lil Wayne and the whole Cash Money Records, who he cites as some of his early influences. A few years later, K. Ross met R.L. Productions Ent. Management Firm CEO Rochelle Brooks who would take him under her wings and help mold him into a prolific and profound artist. The record’s independent success garnered the young teenager legions of fans throughout the South and Midwest.

K. Ross, a perfectionist in the lab, has never been one to waste time. “I could do an entire album in a week,” he says. But his first World Wide Album is taking him a little longer. “I wanted to make sure everything was right and perfect for my fans." Approaching His Album with the skills of a scientist, K. Ross dug through the vaults of his own material in order to analyze his distinct style. "Listening to the past few albums, I wanted to change it up slightly.” What fans will be hearing on my album is a revised and refreshed K. Ross, from the scorching first single “Tealeo,” produced by himself, where K. Ross drops blazing lyrics, where he comes at you hard, switching up both vocal tone and flow.

K. Ross is no longer the young cocky boy from the South content with just spitting boastful rhymes. Aside from fans, fellow artists have also recognized his maturation as a well rounded musician. K. Ross’s flow and choice of subject matter have also become more versatile. “They Talk About Us” is one song that stands out to him, “Because it’s about the Jena Six Movement, and I’ve never done a movement song before.” K. Ross is different from most rappers as music wise. He calls himself a hip hop artist rather than a rapper or rap artist. He says he is more about the music than the money.
