About KRONA

Portrait of KRONA

‘We live for performing and thrive on energy that it creates ’cos it is during the collision of the performer and the listener when our music starts to make sense!’

It was after the collapse of the Soviet Union when two of the bands’ main songwriters – the singer Nelda Kuzuma and the lead guitarist Arturs Aleksejevs fell in love with the music of Western Europe. The desire for the forbidden evil fruit that was Western music in the eyes of the East Europe, as well as the passion and determination is what brought the two Latvians to the centre stage of music – London.

Like-minded Englishmen captured sparks of the foreign flavour and Krona was born. Session bass player Anthony Channer, art martyr guitarist Edward Brunning and the unstoppable groove slave Josh Pow brought missing aces to the table.

Edge-cutting rock riffs and mesmerizing jazz-influenced female vocals are the main characteristics of Krona. The diverse backgrounds and experiences are grounded into Kronas music and make it rich sounding.
