From his Mother singing him old ‘50’s songs at night to the first time he recorded himself singing into a tape recorder at the age of 9, Kristian’s life has revolved around music. He joined his first band in 1995 and played with various groups until 2000. From 2000 to 2007 he put music on the backburner and focused on his family. “For all those years I just felt like something was missing. It wasn’t until I started writing songs again that I realized my true love for music and how much I ached for it to be part of my life”. In the summer of 2006 his Grandfather became his muse by asking him to put some of his own personal feelings to music. Kristian wrote the song in the spring of 2007, and in doing so, sparked the interest and love for music that he had lost for so many years. For the next year Kristian played around the Salt Lake City valley as a solo acoustic artist and recorded a 4 song EP released in February of 2008. With Kristian’s love of music, and energy to spread that love to his listeners, it started to become contagious. In the spring of 2008 some of Kristian’s close musician friends decided to join the journey and started “The Kristian Heald Project”! Kristian plays his simple and catchy songs with a voice that is unique yet at the same time strikes a familiar feeling as he sings his emotional lyrics. With the incorporation of Jason’s interesting & innovative hip-hop style drum beats, Brian’s melodic fast paced bass lines, and Clint’s Blues/Rock lead guitar melodies. You end up with a great mix of styles that fans of almost any genre can enjoy.
