"Pastors rally clergy against gay marriage"
I just read in todays Los Angeles Times about Pastor Jim Garlow of San Diego, rallying other clergy in California against gay marrage.
First, I think it’s great that so many clergy can come together to prevent gay marriage. After all, they’ve been so successful at rallying to feed the hungry, house the homeless, protecting children from child abuse, stopping divorce, eliminating philandering, preventing alcohol and drug abuse, insuring the uninsured, finding loving homes for our beloved orphans and so on.
And to think that Cardinal Roger Mahony and six Roman Catholic bishops also oppose gay marriage (I guess they have some free time now that their child molesting Priests are all hidden from the public). I honestly cannot, for the life of me, figure out just what the purpose of the church is anymore. The only message I get is their hate and intolerance. I believe that their lord Jesus Christ would be ashamed of them right now. To think that his message of tolerance, acceptance and love could be ignored and replaced by this type of hate mongering is sad. You people disgust me. Shame on all of you so called God Fearing zealots.
