In a world that changes everyday, a city that remains the same, and an industry that is constantly looking for the next best thing, K.i.T is not your average Hip-Hoper. With his CD collection nearing his ceiling the 18 year old eMCee lives and breathes hip-hop as he walks through his native city of Providence, RI (the Ocean State) armed with his USB and worn out back pack. Not to mention his head of high hopes and big dreams of reaching the world through his music someday. his mission began in 2008 but his love for hip-hop goes back to his early middle school days. Being dedicated was hard at that age but now he challenges himself to write every day to perfect his craft. His style roots from the abstract sounds of A Tribe Called Quest and Canadian rapper K-oS but has evolved into something that is of his own creation. Though it is hard to completely define It is based on something that is so simple that few seem to use it anymore, creativity. K.i.T prides himself in having a great live show and over the span of a year he has developed an impressive resume. This includes opening for hip-hop legends like Slick Rick, Keith Murray, and many more. The young eMCee has performed in over 15 venues and has taken to the stage in over 40 shows. He has never left a crowd in disappointment nor has he ever finished a set without the applause and support of people who may have never known of his existence the night before. Though progress is often a slow process K.i.T has come a long way in the past 2 years. After releasing 2 demo’s and a mix-tape that he titled The Ocean State Great, he has just recently launched his own self made website that continues to get hits every day. In a business where everything is soon to be internet based this is a perfect tool for him to reach an audience that is hungry for new music. Aside from his website K.i.T is also working on a new demo and mix-tape(The Old Soul) that are both set to drop this year. Though K.i.T is still in the earliest stages of his career, the future is sure to be bright for “The Ocean State Great.” But since K.i.T. is done talking about himself please enjoy his music in the meantime lol…peace!!!
