Dirty Red

Jeremiah Dawson, the rap artist known as Dirty Red was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. “All my people who love music stand up” Dirty red found a way to express his frustrations of growing up under difficult circumstances, by channeling his thoughts, his dreams, his love, and his hate, by using his creative poetry. Even early on, Dirty Red’s lyrics highlighted his consideration of the spiritual dimension to life, as well as the material. In 1996 Dirty Red formed a rap group called Southern Conspiracy with Jaade Jackson, the rap artist known as Ja-Sho. They chose the name, to complement their particular lyrical composition. Their style represented a hard, and soft, verse flow. It created a unique blend.

Though the later years Dirty Red went on to develop a solo music career. Through his passion his discovered a sound that was a blues like melody mingled with gangster rap. With that Dirty Red came up with his own company called King Being Records. With the motto, ‘Keep God first get money and then do something with it’. He founded King Being Records, an independent record label, and helped to create the King Being Family, a network of creative personalities, and artists. This was his formula to spread his rap skills, to preserve his lyrical technique, nurture his lifestyle, and harness his own chosen principals, a Generation X rapper.

The most important thing is not to forget were rap came from so when it comes to old school I got to have it, old school rap was made to help better are self, so how can we for get that, “got to follow the rules, the blue print”. “New school is all fashion, little to no heart. Got to love that ha, ha, ha, ha, that why I’m here to get it dirty”. Dirty Red, produces, write and compose his own music. Most of the time you will find him ghost writing and managing his artist’s career and arrange his label.

Real artist find it hard leave an indie label to go to the major because of thr freedom you have, like in tour when you want, doing shows at will. The bad thing is the scale is too small when you want to be heard, plus the masses need Dirty Red. He work with the Outlaws, Dungeon family, Bobby Creekwater, Legion of Doom, Cocco Brother, Bo hagon, Gucci man, Dj Jelly, Dj Razah, Dj Xrated, Attic Crew Pastor troy and Mannie fresh. Labels like Interscope, Def jam south and Universal.

South rapper and hip hoper over the year get treated like the black sheep in music, but I’m about to put a end to that, and yes we make, get off the wall and dance music and lets not forget about pimping but its all in fun right? But know it time to show you are diversity in the game of hip-hop. No more behind the scene, it time for the south to really show who we are, yeh you know what I mean.
