KEZIA is an Etno Alternative band from Bogor, Indonesia. KEZIA combines the Indonesian traditional music elements and modern music elements. ~ Behind the name ~ KEZIA is from the Hebrew name Qetzi'ah) meaning "cassia", from the name of the spice tree. In the Old Testament, KEZIA or Keziah was a daughter of Job. Job or Ayyub is the central character of the Book of Job in the Hebrew Bible / Old Testament. In the Old Testament, after his first daughter Jemima, the second of the three daughters born to Job after his sufferings is named Kezia or Keziah (see Job 42:14). The name has been taken to symbolize female equality, since all of Job's three daughters received an inheritance from their father, an unusual circumstance in a time period when women and men were not treated equally. KEZIAH is other form name of KEZIA. it has same meaning with KEZIA. KEZIAH has been used to named fans of KEZIA. By doing this, there is no differences between the band and their fans. It is because KEZIA itself put their fans as part of the band (KEZIA). ~ Music of KEZIA ~ Development of Indonesian traditional (ethnic) music and the use of Indonesian traditional (ethnic) instrument music combined with modern music elements. Niko plays traditional musical instruments, such as Suling / Seruling (Indonesian traditional flute), sampeq (Indonesian traditional guitar of Dayak tribe from borneo), etc. Imanuel Eko Setiadi (Noel) as bass player and backing vocal. Noel plays traditional musical instruments, such as Angklung (from West Java), Suling / Seruling, etc. Martin Edwart W. N. (Martin Kezia) as drummer, backing vocal and programmer (controlling modern musical device). Martin plays traditional musical instruments, such as Angklung, etc.
