Kevin G was born Kevin Douglas Gradnigo in Baton Rouge, LA and raised in Ethel, LA where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of five. He began playing the piano and singing at the age of seven. Kevin attended and graduated from Jackson High School and went on to receive an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida.It was in Florida that the Lord began to birth in Kevin a vision for a record label, studio and the desire to minister the message of Christ and Him crucified to this Generation X generation. The Holy Spirit birthed in him a message of "No Compromise" to take to today's believers and unbelievers.Upon returning to Louisiana, Kevin G founded a record label, Jesus is Lord Productions (JIL Pro) and opened a studio. He has, to date, produced albums for Evangelist Stephanie Sanders (formally blues singer Stephanie McDee), contemporary gospel duo, Anointed and Appointed, and new Christian rap artist, Snowbird, and a mix-tape for Jay Fam. In addition, he wrote and produced his own project, The Message and the Heart. He is currently working on his second project.Kevin worked for a post production movie company adding several movie credits to his name, co-founded a team of producers called the MusicMakerz, and started djaying as DJ G-Ex, the Gospel Exclusive. He was recently featured at the "Just for Jesus" rally.Kevin G's sound is unique. It is an R&B, contemporary jazz, funk, hip-hop sound that has its roots in Marantha, Integrity, and Hosanna praise and worship. The Holy Spirit uses Kevin G through praise and worship to teach and remind believers and unbelievers that to serve God you must first believe that He is who He says He is - the Creator, the Messiah.
