Biography of Singer, Songwriter and Producer Kevin Green Although you may not know his face, you will soon be forced to get familiar with the signature songwriting and production genius of Kevin Green. After hearing one of his many self-written and produced recordings, you too will be convinced that he is destined to be one of R&B’s most esteemed writers. Hailing from Bryan Texas, this seasoned writer began developing his writing abilities at a young age by creating impromptu lyrics in an effort to pick up neighborhood girls. After receiving and delivering a few heartbreaks, he transferred his pain into his music and in the process molded himself into a full fledged song writer. Kevin’s guiding principle as an artist is brutal honesty. For Kevin, writing songs allows him the space to partake in his fantasies, dreams and fears without ever leaving his home studio. Kevin earned his reputation as one of the South’s artist elites while performing with his R&B group as the opening act for esteemed artists such as Jagged Edge, Bobby Valentino, Mystikal and many more. While still in high school he penned his first regional radio smash “Bomb Diggy.” Riding high from the overwhelming positive reception and an insatiable demand to hear more, Kevin quit his high school basketball team and became a studio rat. Over the years he has created many hits for artists in various genres, from R&B to Pop, to writing the hooks for hip hop artists. His work in the industry has allow him to live and from Atlanta all the way across the country to Los Angeles, where he understudied with esteemed producers such as Adonis Shropshire, Karl Antoine, K. Fam, Ralph Stacey and Peter Raffelson. He currently resides in the Dallas area where he is attending the University of North Texas and earning his BA in business marketing. Kevin’s production work can be heard on Hillary Duff’s sitcom, Southwest Airlines commercials and various indie artists throughout the South. He continues to make his impact on the Texas music scene while staying committed to fulfilling his dream taking a spot on the Top 100 music charts.
