Kent was raised around simple people in a quaint Amish town in northern Indiana. Kent studied classical composition on piano for 10 years and then jazz composition for 5 years, which laid the foundation for his own music.

Kent’s compositions are also influenced by music form early Elton John, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno; then later by Pat Metheny, Sarah Mclachlan, Tori Amos, and many others. Kent’s 2nd release – Songs From Those Days, will draw from these varied influences, utilizing great vocal talents form around the country.
