Raised in a small town with a population of less than 30,000, my music influence came primarily from my parents who are Arkansas & Mississippi natives. Listening primarily to the Blues as a child and tapping out beats on my organ, my influence grew and expanded into different genres as the years progressed. Searching for more ways to get involved in music, I played the bells in grade school and later decided to try the trombone. But, I wasn’t comfortable with it. I eventually decided that the viola was unique and I went on to play the viola from 6th through the12th grade.
After graduating from Sandusky High School, I continued my education at the University of Toledo. I didn’t stray far from music but, my I was focused more on my education in business. After receiving my Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a Minor in Marketing (2004), I was then in pursuit of finding a career position within a company where I could utilize my education and support my family financially. By 2008, I still hadn’t found my niche. So I decided to focus on establishing my own business in a field that I have always appreciated. This brought on the idea of creating KBlack Promotions, which is my personal business that I started from scratch and have had some great success in.
Being an ambitious individual with the intent of changing the management game, I became determined & mentally motivated and immediately begin to work with my first two artists: Swift and Man Man. Since my recent start, I have aided in the following projects:
International Takeover Tour (Rick Ross, Shawna, Plies, Rocko, T.I. etc)- Artists opened for this tour in Milwaukee, WI and also in Chicago, IL 07/06/08-07/07/08

Since my initial start in June 2008, I have gained recognition for my involvement into the music business and I have influenced an additional group of artists in giving me their consent to help manage their careers. The Bedrock Boyz have had previous managers who they didn’t have much success in but, I immediately gained their trust and showed them my dedication to their careers will be beneficial. I am also looking into recruiting a comedian for my business. I have many prospected opportunities ahead of me that I look forward to and establishing new unparalleled results.
