Biography

I remember the first time I was hooked into Hip-Hop. I would always hear the song "Summertime" by WIll Smith while going to my babysitters house every morning. When I was 12, a friend that was moving away left me his notebook as a cheap present. When I doodled in it a couple days later, I started rhyming words together and writing things down that were going on at that time in my life. For 2 years i produced beats and wrote rhymes with my cousin Madd Skillz and we would perfrom thoses songs at church. But I guess when my cousin left, so did my passion for music. It was the 3rd quarter of junior year and some of my friends were talkiing abouit making a song. At first I laughed but seeing them write made me want to give it a shot for old times sake. We recorded a few songs, but they weren't anything great and you could tell I was still a novice. We created a group called 5RILL5 and started recording even more music. After some time, a few of the grop members decided that music wasn't there true calling and slowly stopped recording material. In the summer of 2008, I became serious about my own music and recorded lyrics on mainstream beats for a couple months. Before I took control of most of my music, our music group was basically a joke at our hgih school, but after people noticed I was serious about my music. My producer now, Cali Steve and I still recorded material on mainstream beats, but the recording was at his house now instead of mine. With upgrades to our music, we released the mixtape, "Cali Steve's Christmas Chronic" in January 2009 for a local high schools. With that mixtape, our priority was to get a feedback on our music to see what the public thoguht. We are now currently working on the double mixtape "Cali Steve Presesnts" Dead Poets Society/Summer Sounds" so be on the lookout for new material.
