As an artist expressing her deepest truths, she feels that the depth of her reality can only be captured by recording it “in the moment” and preserving each original expression from start to end without any creative alterations. Kathryn feels that the most honest performance she can give is to keep the integrity of each composition by recording her music without any digital editing. She composes her music by letting the melodic structure develop intuitively. She says that before the melody can come, she must begin by opening her heart, then it unfolds. In today’s digital era, recording artists are blessed with the liberty to edit and enhance their compositions, but it is most important to Kathryn as a solo acoustic artist, to offer the entire truth of her expression. The one exception to this creative process… is the Christmas carol collaboration “Silent Night” which has been digitally arranged by Renaud Schmitt (Rensmusic) with his heavenly creative visions :o)
