Hailing from Kashmere Gardens, northeast side of Houston (hence his alias “Kashmere Don”), this emcee developed his skills from writing & battling since the age of 11. “See, I’m a child of the “Golden Era” of hip hop. This isn’t a marketing scheme drummed up by corporate execs. From my flaws to my strengths, you’ll get the total package.” This astute emcee hit Houston’s underground scene in 1996 and has been on his grind ever since. He has opened for some established acts. He has opened for Hiero, The Pharcyde, Kidz in the Hall, Chip Fu, Common, & Ali Shaheed Muhammad. It seems natural how he meshes his personal beliefs into a pot filled with style & imperfection. “My true roots come from my church background. An emcee with high morals you might say. So when I’m putting down joints, it’s like constant struggle between good vs. evil.” His honest approach makes it easy to see where he’s coming from. D. Rose is currently working on various projects with in house producers. His solo project is slated to drop soon. Taster’s Choice is a soulful concoction facilitated by D.
