The World Premiere of Nightsong: A New Vampire Musical November 5th-8th, 2009 was a smashing success. Here’s a plot teaser: Robert is a 300-year old vampire, who’s been feeling off lately. It doesn’t help that Vivienne, his eternal lover, has grown increasingly cold over the years; she views humans as little more than a source of sustenance, while Robert still finds them fascinating. However, a new conquest soon catches Robert’s eye: Andrea a naive human who’s been widowed for nearly two years. Desperate to be closer to her — but not wanting to pursue her physically — Robert calls upon an ancient, forbidden power known as the Nightsong. Using this power, Robert enters Andrea’s dreams while she sleeps, drawing her fragile mind ever closer to him.

Kari Tieger is a bilingual (English & French) singer/songwriter, keyboardist, and composer. She writes mostly about spiritual and emotional issues, often en français.

Kari also loves to compose for strings and other acoustic instruments, and enjoys creating ambient soundscapes. She is drawn to the dark and dreamy, and is collaborating on a new original vampire musical, based on her 1996 EP release, “Trilogy of Nightsongs: A Romantic View of Vampires.”

With 4 CD releases to her credit, two of which are in French, and one an introduction to zen meditation, Kari is currently working on her 5th album, to be entitled Illumination.
