I was born in Tulare, Ca. USA. Presently, I live in a small rural town in Oklahoma.I moved to Oklahoma at a young age and have lived here most of my life. I have been singing gospel music since 1982 in churches, then in 1990, I started singing in many different venues. I was born in Tulare, Ca. USA. Presently, I live in a small rural town in Oklahoma.I moved to Oklahoma at a young age and have lived here most of my life. I have been singing gospel music since 1982 in churches, then in 1990, I started singing in many different venues. I have sang as a sololist at The Konowa All Night Singing, The Oklahoma State Fair, The Red Earth Festival ( OK City, Ok.), Sorgum Day, Hog Wild Day, Eddie Crook/ Tony Peace Gospel Jubilee Showcase ( Austell, Ga.), and various other churches, festivals and gospel singings. In 1995 though 1997, I had a 30 minute TV show called "Road To Life" on Daystar TV in Moore, Ok. I have sang as a soloist all these years, until approximately the last 3 to 4 years, when my husband, Brian, and my daughters, Sharah and Sheena, started singing with me. I have been called by my name or "Just Sheila", as a soloist, but with my family and I singing together, we are called, "Road To Life". Music Influences: My Mom, She was a Country singer and was on The Grand Old Opry and The Porter Wagoner show when she was young. Today, I love, Patsy Cline, Emmy Lou Harris, Reba, Alison Krauss and Union Station, The Isaac's, Misty Freeman, Susie Luchsinger, The Hinson's, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Elvis, Johhny Horton, Ray Price, Hank Williams Sr., Randy Travis, Josh Turner, Vince Gill, George Strait, and Clay Walker.Family: I have a loving Husband that helps in my music and two grown precious Daughters who also sing with me from time to time.Singing Styles: I love all kinds of music. Country , Bluegrass, and Gospel are my favorites, but I only sing Gospel..Writing: I started writing songs back in 1993 when I decided to record an album and found that it is better to write your own songs.
