For lack of a better thought I would call myself a Songwriter/Singer versus a Singer/Songwriter. My songs are not one style just a potpourri of what I’m seeing and feeling at the time. I’m self taught on guitar and vocals but I got my own style, can stay in tune and bring a little soul to the table. So here’s a little bit about me.
A long time ago, after riding around in helicopters, in the unpopular war that no one likes to talk about. I swapped my M-60 Machine Gun for a guitar and pencil. I hit the road to see what I could see. After all I’d just fought for this particular freedom and needed answers for those who failed to return and those who did return from the battles.
I hitch hiked across the good old USA. Taking notes and meeting incredible folks and playing music along the way. I ended up in Colorado and put together a couple of bands. Before I knew what hit me life became what it became. I eventually stopped performing professionally. However I never gave up the writing or guitar playing.
Instead I spent most of life making films and videos for the corporate world. Always independent except for a five year sentence of “hard time” at a Denver television station. I was… and still am an artist. Not very good around structured politics and those silly games and rules.
Now so many years later… nothings really changed. The world’s still a crazy circle in the universe and it seems the same mistakes are being made. And except for a few very close friends most people have faded away and are now a distant memory.
Personally my life is very simple. I’m trying to pay my debts too. Raise a family and play the games. I’m a God loving man.
No one’s trying to be a star here. I’m just letting people listen to my side of life. Some will like it and others won’t. I learned a long time ago that you can’t make everybody happy.
My escape is writing words and songs. A freedom I so love.
I hope you enjoy the words and melodies.
