Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Josh Quest has been involved with music since a very young age. With his father a guitarist in a band and his mother was doing the lights, Josh would soon come to realize his passion for music. In 1995 Josh Quest started promoting his own parties called H.A.B.I.T. with another aspiring DJ and long time friend, DJ Rein. Bringing their favorite artists such as Sasha, Rabbit in the Moon, Wicked, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, DJ Icey, Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Danny Tenaglia and Crystal Method just to name a few. H.A.B.I.T. parties would give them the opportunity to showcase their skills beside some of their favorite artist's and DJ’s. Deeply inspired by this music and the San Francisco’s rave scene, Josh Quest would set the path for what would now be known as Seattle’s underground house scene.
DJing and producing tracks now for over a decade, Josh has traveled throughout most of the continent spinning at clubs and parties with his techy-electro house sound. Josh's uncompromising style and innovation show no sign of slowing down any time soon. Josh Quest has already had multiple releases on such labels as Manifest Music, Tilted Records, Relapse recordings, Redhanded records, and Uhuru Beats.
Combining the sounds of electro’s analog drums with the sweeping pads and deep bass lines of progressive house, Josh Quest has resurfaced with a newly perfected sound that he calls ELECTROTECH. While DJing full time he would work in his studio producing as much music as he can.
