My Husband & I (Feb. 08')
I am a Army wife (almost 9yrs), homeschooling mother of three (8yr old boy, 6yr old girl and 1yr old baby girl) and a former soldier (US Army, 2yrs Active Duty) but most of all I am a Christian (God is the center of my life & my family).
I was born August 9, 1979 in Providence, RI. I moved to West Warwick, RI in July 1990. I then joined the U.S. Army after high school (June 98'). I went to basic training at Fort Leonardwood, MO, AIT at Gulfport, MS (51B Carpentry and Masonry) and then was stationed at Fort Hood, TX (Dec. 98').
I met my wonderful husband Rodney (Dec. 98'), who was also a Army soldier (11C Infantry Mortars). We married June 5, 1999, had our son Rodney Jr. (Sept. 99'), I got out of the Army (2000) and then we had our daughter Halle (Aug. 01').
We lived at Fort Hood, TX until December 2003 (survived two Kuwait deployments while living there, Mar. 01'- Aug. 01' & Nov. 01'- Apr. 02') and I moved to Warwick, RI (Dec. 03'), when my husband was stationed in Korea for what was spose to be 12 months but after he was there for 8 months, his unit was sent to Iraq for 12 months (20 months all together). He came home from Iraq in August 2005 and then we moved to Fort Carson, CO, where he is currently stationed.
I moved back to Rhode Island (Sept. 06') to be around my family and have our other daughter Kayla (Feb. 07'), while my husband returned for his second tour in Iraq for what was spose to be 12 months but they extended them an extra 3 months (15 months all together). I moved back to Fort Carson, CO after Thanksgiving (07') and welcomed him home on New Year's Eve (07').
