Their first, self-titled CD contains a refreshing mix of songs that sound new, yet are warmly familiar. "Porcupine," another song from Joy Missile's first CD, is currently in the Top 10 at http://www.bandradiolive.com/, and won an honorable mention in the 2005 Billboard Song Contest. "Follow Me Down" remains high on the Myspace (www.myspace.com/joymissile) play list. The band was also proud to receive the Gold Viking award for Best Pop Band of 2007 from svensworldradio podcast. In 2007 and 2008, Joy Missile focused on adding new material to the live show and completing their sophomore CD.
