I describe my music as smoldering, eclectic, and energetic. I tend to want to invoke and energy an ache and a longing in my music more than a party vibe. Artists like Me'shell Ndegeocello, Chris Whitley, Tricky, Jeff Buckley and Grant Lee Phillips continue to inspire in me a sense of how it is possible to bring a poetic sensitivity to music without losing the energy or intensity. I have realized, that even in this modern world of audio over saturation, great music has it's own magic and moving songs survive in spite of the powers of mediocrity. I have always felt these songs, my songs need to be out in the world to inspire people and to move them into higher realms of awareness. In the words of Jim Morrison, “If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel.” My sentiments exactly. Despite the fact that these aren’t my newest creations, my hope is that you will discover a timeless quality that endures far beyond their “born on date.”
