Imagine how hip-hop would react to a rapper who introduced himself under the moniker White boy. Well, actually that thought is a real as the Corona Queens, New York raised Italian phenom who did just that. And White Boy's MC name isn't any type of publicity stunt. It's been the rapper's name since his neighborhood Black friends bestowned it on him as a child. After growing up listening to icons like Roxanne Shante and Big Daddy Kane, White Boy later hook up with another legend, and Corona Queens native, Kool G Rap. Blanco made his first recorded appearance with Kool G. Rap and Nas in "Number One With a Bullet" as White Boy. Sleeping on the floor at G-Rap's crib lead to White Boy co-writing and spitting the hook for Kool G Rap' and Nas' "Fast Life." "I Used to go to Lefrak parties and they'd be like 'Oh you White Boy? I don't wanna battle you, "boasts White Boy aka Johnny Blanco. "Noreaga used to write me when he was in jail. I used to send him beat tapes." After creating a buzz among the who's who in the rap game through collaborations and underground mix tapes, Johnny Blanco dropped a self-titled, solo LP with 2OG entertainment. You can only imagine how crazy an MC that graduated under the tutorage of a legend is. And the Caucasian MC's grave deep rap narratives and punch lines were above the in house production of The Coalition, which includes Buddah and Shamello, the beat smiths behind Busta's "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See." In 2002, Blanco dropped the album titled "Y'All About To See" which featured Sticky Fingaz, Craig Mack, Styles P, DV Alias Khryst and Complexion. Blanco also recorded a song with Petey Pablo called "NY to NC". Blanco is currently working on a new album which details will be release at a later date.
