The nature of the war is this: The Church tries to convert the World and the World tries to convert the Church. It is a war, not a hobby, social networking or some dry philosophical debate, it is a long, hard, bloody war. The prize is Life Eternal for all who follow the Lord. The price of failure is the loss of friends, colleagues and loved ones to the fires of Hell.

Extreme? No more than the price He paid.
