Joe Prest has been playing guitar since the Beatles played on Ed Sullivan and he dragged his Mom to the local music store in 1964 and never looked back. He has played in numerous local bands and studied with several prominent teachers in RI. Joe Prest has been playing guitar since the Beatles played on Ed Sullivan and he dragged his Mom to the local music store in 1964 and never looked back. He has played in numerous local bands and studied with several prominent teachers in RI. He studied with Rico Turchetti who was best known as the pedal steel guitarist on the Arthur Godfrey show in 1951. A few years later Joe studied with John Chiodini who is best known as the guitarist with Natalie Cole. In 1977 Joe attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and studied with Bill Brinkley. He was playing in the band Bits and Pieces a funk band which was an offshoot of a band in High School that studied Chicago I and II as if it were the bible. Raised in Smithfield, Rhode Island, Joe now lives in Danielson, CT with his wife and four cats. Joe is in the band Sure Thing (www.surethingmusic.net ) which plays at parties, weddings and local clubs in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Joe has taught guitar for over 10 years but is currently working as a Network Administrator during the day and a guitar slinger at night and on weekends. The three songs on the CD are all written by Joe. Song number one is a straight ahead Rocker called Rock-IT which features Al Zaninni on drums and Vinny Abaticola on Bass Guitar. Song number two is called Chet and is a country tune
