Having performed from the tender age of six and written songs since he was fifteen, Jody has many years experience as a singer/songwriter and musician. His style is eclectic: mixing elements of rock, blues, funk and pop, as well as more folky, acoustic elements with a melodic sensibility that is all his own. His songs are full of honesty and deal with a wide variety of subjects, both personal and social – from materialism and alienation, to notions of loss and even werewolves! Never afraid of a challenge, Jody has spent the last four years self-financing his début album – a fourteen track all-originals CD entitled “Ten a Penny”, which he recently released online. At present, he is studying a classical and popular music degree in Liverpool, and loving every minute of it. Jody is a firm believer in knowing your own identity and staying true to it. As he puts it: “Always be yourself…because if you can’t be that, what can you be?”
