I’ve been happily retired from the band scene for about 25 years, but, have now gotten the ‘itch’ again. I started Cuban Time Productions with Yoel Diaz & released ‘Te llego’. Yoel went on to win the General Motors ‘Grande Prix de Jazz’ of the Montreal International Jazz Festival, as pianist/composer with the Alex Bellegarde Quartet.
I’m now forming a new group- The Jim Norcross Project. I’ve paired up Yoel Diaz with my good old buddy Jay Jesse Johnson, for a real exotic blending of worlds yet undiscovered &, of course, thrown myself in the middle of it all which will give me a chance to blow a little bit.
