Jeremy Vanderloop is a young man full of love and passion. His parents knew there was something special about his hands, from the day he was born. As an infant—not even two years old—he did everything with an amazing gentleness and precision. Nobody thought he’d become a musician: they always imagined him becoming a doctor, or something along those lines.
But today, Jeremy is a skilled player of many different instruments of as many separate varieties. He’s the first to say that it’s only by God that he can play at all. After a simple prayer at sixteen, “Lord, I want to play instruments for your glory,” he sat down behind a piano and began composing melodies.
Before this time, Jeremy could barely hold a steady time on a drum-set. After his prayer, however, a close friend had shown him a few chords on guitar; and in no time he was creating chord-structures and songs! Six months later, not yet even close to content, he made another prayer: “Lord, I want to write songs that pierce men’s hearts.” As you can hear for yourself, the prayer truly was answered. Each work is a story full of passionate hope, spreading the message of love and repentance.
He has an awesome heart for the heart-broken: many have heard Jeremy say, “I want to be the guy that can play in front of fifty-thousand people one day; and the next, have the compassion of Christ to sit with one person and play a song that will give them a touch right where they need one.”
The primary goal of every piece of work is to change the world for the sake of Christ. Jeremy isn’t looking to become rich and famous, but he certainly would put the money to good use: he is currently working on a non-profit organization, “His Breaking-Heart Ministries,” for aiding ministries that adopt abandoned and orphaned children.
Jeremy’s heart wishes to see at least one of these facilities built within every nation of the world, all in his own lifetime.
