My name is Jeremy Cate.I was born on New Years Eve 1982 in Knoxville, TN. If there is one thing I could not live without it would have to be Music.I don't remember when, where, what song or even who sang it but once I was able to "feel" and relate my life with a single lyric or song, that was the beginning of my amazing journey and lesson with music. To say I was born into a musical family would be a little far fetched but not completely false. My Dad was a firefighter and paramedic and my Mom was a Baker and a cook.My mom took guitar and piano in high school and my dad was an artist and music lover in high school.Their musical tastes and backgrounds wouldn't affect me until I was a few years older. The first 2 concerts I ever saw were Charlie Daniels and KISS. I never considered Charlie Daniels as my first until i learned to appreciate that style of music and creativity. I still consider my first real concert to be KISS.I had never been to a "rock and roll show" before and hadn't begun to imagine the world within. Let's just say when I left the coliseum that night my whole life had been completely impacted by the intensity and energy that was shared that night.Over the years I was blessed to be able to see bands like Rage Against the Machine, Saliva, The Verve Pipe, Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Staind, Flaw, Drowning Pool, Taproot, Puddle of Mudd, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, Night Ranger, Ted Nugent, Hurt, Evans Blue, Spout, Shinedown, Future Leaders of The World, Hinder, and Chevelle just to name a few in the handful.Every band had their own stage presence. They had their own unique show. Each one had a different way they interacted with people. And they all had many different stories to share. Yet, they all used one simple little miracle to share their emotions and experiences with the crowd that was listening and watching them. And everyone, down to the triangle players, used that one simple miracle to connect with and impact that same crowd, listening and watching. That simple little miracle that we all use to come together no matter the differences, one little miracle that is able to make us strong, make us cry, help us feel powerful, get us motivated, to help us decipher our lives, to give us a soundtrack for memories upon memories to come, and to offer the chance for all of us to share this one simple little miracle that silences the hate and prejudice and negative energy of the world, and allows us all to find an escape in this one simple little miracle..........................The miracle is Music. The gift is the open mind. And the reward is a foreverlasting connection with beauty and creation of the purest.
