Fordham is a Folk Rock Singer/song writer from Central Valley New York. Her passion for music started early in life. She started singing in elementary school chorus. She played the flute from third through tenth grade. She also took piano lessons in third and fourth grade. She wrote poetry from age 10 on, and this sparked her song writing abilities. She sang in voice ensemble in Jr High and High school. She was the youngest member of her Church choir at age 12 and sang many solo pieces. Jennifer’s parents sent her for voice and guitar lessons in high school ; they also took her to One Station Plaza a juice bar with open mike night in Peekskill, Ny. Where she sang at age 14. It was at this time that she was approached to join her first band Circle. Circle was a Folk Rock Band and Jennifer was the youngest member. Circle played at The Back Fence, Le Bar Batt, Cbgbs, and the Lion’s Den in New York City. Jennifer performed on a United Way Fundraiser with Circle on a local television channel. Jennifer performed at numerous talent shows during high school. At age 18 Jennifer left Circle and started a new band with local guitarist/writer Debbie Pasquella. They played at open mike nights in Orange County such as Boodle’s Opera House in Chester , New York. Jennifer attended SUNY New Paltz and has a Bachelors of Science in Media Management. When she graduated the job market was grim so she stuck to sales management. She worked full time the entire way through college Jennifer began writing songs at age 19 and has a number of original compositions. Jennifer had a Dj friend Leo who encouraged her to do improv songwriting. Leo would play beats for Jennifer and she would write songs. In 2003 Jennifer went to Times Square to record her first demo cd at Skye Lab studios. Since then she has focused on her current career as an insurance claims adjuster. She has still maintained her love of music, singing and playing the guitar. Jennifer's main musical influences include Madonna, Tori Amos, Jewel and Celine Dion. Jennifer can sing any genre of music. Her niche is folk pop/country. Currently, Jennifer is shopping her Press Kit to different labels right now. She is waiting for the Best Offer! Please Leave Comments.
