Jeff Lubin is an accomplished singer, songwriter, & guitarist who averages 200 gigs annually in NYC & the surrounding areas. While Jeff's original music has been described by many as "country-flavored pop" or "rockified country", most agree that the lyrics and melodies are second to none. Former President of A&R at Atlantic Records describes Jeff's music as "Intelligently decadent". "Jeff may be headed to the top but he's going there in a pickup truck!" Jeff has also written music for other artists. In March of 2006 he wrote a song which was recorded by international superstar - Michalis Hatzigiannis (Universal Greece). In June-October of 2005, he was the guitarist & musical director for the Latin-American Awards show "The Nueva Estrella Awards"-CBS for which he also co-wrote the theme song, "Shine". In 2003, and again in 2004, Jeff's songs -- "Conversations" & "Paradise" respectively -- placed in the top 10 of the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (over 10,000 entries submitted annually). Songs from his self-released debut album "The Melancholy Tavern" have been featured on WBAB's "Homegrown"-102.3 FM on Long Island, NY, on Cablevision's "Spotlight NY", and WHPC's "Frontiers" -90.3 FM on Long Island, NY. His upcoming CD "Moonlight Drive" is set for release later this spring/summer.
