Jay Psaros is one of the most promising (and new) solo acoustic guitarists/songwriters in the Boston music scene. At the age of 23, Jay plays shows throughout the Northeast and is captivating both ears and eyes with great energy, stage presence and even better music. With a diverse history of musical endeavors such as playing keys and saxaphone in a funk/electronic band to performing as a “Minstrel” at one of Boston’s oldest and most famous theaters (the Medieval Manor Dinner Theater) Jay has developed an eclectic blend of style derived from a vast past of musical passion. Influences include Tommy Emmanuel, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Ben Harper and John Butler. Jay has had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Lucy Vincent, Brother’s Past, The Old Silver Band, and former Ourstage winners Pay the Piper. Born and raised south of Boston, Jay lived in Burlington, Vt for 4 years where he was deeply involved with the Vermont music scene. Currently residing south of Boston, he hopes to have a positive impact on people of all ages through the art of music and also the art of living.
