Jayce Miguel “Starting From Scratch” While rappers and entertainers can be seen everywhere, some can only wonder who will make an impact and who will stand out. Michael “Jayce Miguel” Brooks was born January 15th, 1984. Jayce Miguel was always a shy individual, who found his notepad to be his best friend. From writing his first poem at the age of 12, he developed a passion for songwriting and putting catchy words and phrases together. Jayce Miguel is currently working on “The One Stop Shop”, the first nationally distributed Hip Hop album from The N’Depth Music Group. This album includes the singles “Classic” and “Flame On”, and these songs have been getting plays in various cities throughout the Midwest, East Coast and The South. The focus of the album is to cater to the ones who are going through hard times, and to provide a solution for the temporary problems that are among us today. Anything can be accomplished with a strong faith in God, a great work ethic and believing in you. Jayce Miguel’s life was filled with doubt and uncertainty. He saw his mother work hard, sometimes more than two jobs at a time, just to provide a roof over the heads of himself and his younger brother. He remembers being homeless a couple of times before he became a teenager. From there, he developed goals in life, including owning his own business, and changing the lives of others to make sure that the children of today’s generation have a positive outlook on life. When he couldn’t talk to anybody, his best friends were a ball point pen and a notepad. From poetry to free styling in his high school cafeteria to writing formatted songs, he has remembered that the only person that can stop him from being well accomplished is himself. “The One Stop Shop” is the first step of his long musical career by getting his message out to the masses through the streets, college and internet lovers. The N’Depth Music Group was formed in 2008, consisting of songwriters, marketers and promoters. Even though Jayce Miguel is the owner and CEO, he knows that without a strong team, the accomplishments that have been done so far would have been much harder, and even impossible to reach. N’Depth promotes their artists and showcases, and each event is another step in getting Jayce Miguel’s music out to the masses. “The One Stop Shop” is being released in the summer of 2009. The raw and honest passion that he brings is the first step of a lifelong goal to change the perception of Hip Hop and inner city living, one person at a time.
