This is my band… Eris
Featuring a sound formed from modern hard rock with sharp hooks and monster vocals, Eris is a mad science project gone right.
In the latter half of 2008, Eris was formed out of the members’ mutual love for performing & a desire to create new, fresh rock & roll. Jason Ewton’s vocal style marries the emotions of Daniel Johns (Silverchair) with the raw power of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, AudioSlave). Andy Elliot (Bass) combines the technical prowess of Les Claypool with the feeling and funk of Bootsy Collins. Josh Cannon’s Drum technique is peerless among regional acts and has been likened to drummers such as Danny Carey (Tool) and “The Rev” (Avenged Sevenfold). Nate “Nathanimal” Luttrell boasts a unique style of lead guitar with influences heavily rooted in Progressive Rock/Jazz and drawing heavily from guitarists like David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Martin Barre (Jethro Tull). While the members all have very different musical tastes, Eris’ remains focused on writing original music that everyone can relate to. Before Eris had even performed their first show, their hometown was stricken with a wave of excitement. These four musicians that were known and loved from their other projects were now coming together to form a unit with no weak link. The Chattanooga Pulse cited Eris as the Most Anticipated Band of 2008. By the time Eris made their debut, 300+ people flooded the club in attendance. Presently, Eris is continuing to pick up steam and new fans by expanding their touring schedule all over the southeast US.
