Jamil's sound is undeniably hip-hop, but still at home in today's post genre environment. Carefully written, but casually delivered lyrics make Jamil one with the beat, a beat that is as much Lagos as it is South Bronx. His style is as much conga and maraca as it is 808 and clap.
