Biography
Most recently Jamie was described by the Santa Barbara Independent as "Ani Difranco meets Toni Braxton" --an odd combination to be sure, but no doubt the reviewer was referring to Jamie's smokey, soulful vocals (a la Toni)and Jamie's hard-hitting confessional lyrics and poignant storytelling with a funky-folky groove (a la Ani). Jamie is a two-time L.A. Music Award Winner and has also been compared to such artists as Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and Paula Cole.
