Hey I’m James
I’m 16 years old, and go to Penrith Anglican College. I’ve been playing guitar for a while, and have only recently bought a Mac with recording capabilities. The next step will be to buy a good quality microphone to record my songs, as the inbuilt one is somewhat limited.
I really enjoy playing music, and i’m in a noobish sorta band at the moment called EDEN. I play music whenever i can and jam with mates. I’m also a strong christian =)

about home recording, id recommend buying a decent interface and a decent microphone and not a usb mic if youre gonna keep using garageband and eventually upgrade software.
I saw a usb mic in a Jaycar catalogue for about $99. Again, I'm really not sure of the quality but it would be something definitely to look into
We've been recording all of our stuff on Garageband at the moment. I'm keen to try out Logic Pro though to see what difference it will make. All the guitars, bass guitar and vocals are real tracks, all the rest of the tracks are software or audio loops.
I'm considering looking at a USB mic. Not too sure about the sound quality but they are active mics so should be similar to a phantom powered mic
