The decision to scrap guitar solo and solo instrumental has virtually destroyed Ourstage for classical / contempory guitarists such as myself. The standard of entries in Solo Instrumental was exceptional and I discovered some outstanding musicians there. To have all "instrumental" bundled into one huge channel (where you can have electronic instrumental, rock instrumental - hip hop instrumental - basically ANYTHING without vocals) is farcical.

The vast majority of people who have commented oppose these changes. Lack of definition and clarity of genre can only be damaging to Ourstage in the long run. Just my tuppence worth.

Hi everyone - I have not been on Ourstage for a long time for several reasons but hope to get on more in the coming months. I would like to thank all who voted for me in my absence and helped me get a channel win in January in Solo Instrumental and a top ten in same in February. I have not had a chance to edit my entries but will do so very soon. I hope to catch up with many of you very soon.

Alan
