Vote for Jaiden Phoenixx!
Jaiden Phoenixx hails from the streets of Kansas City, Missouri. Knowing how hard it is to “make it” in KC without being a nationally recognized act, Jaiden Phoenixx has put in work, traveling to places like ATL, St. Louis, and eventually California, where he now resides. A versatile emcee, the rapper feels his style allows him to spit the hottest verses over just about ANY beat. Says the young lyricist, “I feel my lyrical content is up there with the best of the best – signed or unsigned. I’m for sure at the top of my class for my tier and genre in the rap artform.”
A chance meeting with friend and labelmate Richelle Hannah led Jaiden Phoenixx to meet with the superproducer Rashaad Wiggins of Schad Productions. “It almost went bad, as I only wanted to produce a track for Richelle, but when he [Wiggins] heard me rap, the first thing he said was ‘Hey – so you wanna cut a record???’ After that it was a wrap”, says Phoenixx. The young rapper is no stranger to music or entertainment. Growing up, he’s come across many of the most sought-after musicians in the game today. He says “I went to Wendell Phillips AND Paseo in KC. I grew up around Lil Ronnie and Brian Kennedy, partied with Tech N9Ne and rapped in cyphers with the best of ’em.”
These days he feels like the light is finally shining on him. With the much anticipated release of Phoenixx Rising, the artist gets to showcase his ability to rock the mic like a true MC. On the track “Game On”, Phoenixx delivers a witty and smooth delivery, packed with clever metaphors and rhyme patterns. It serves as a gripping warning to those who underestimate the power of a Kansas City MC. On the much talked-about “Watch Me” he delivers super sick double-entendres with ease spouting: " Call me young Diddy…/watch Jacob make da Band/ diamonds in my second hand/My flow is pristine…your shit be second hand/Like smoke I kill, but I’m deadlier than second hand/ I write so many checks, I’mma need a second hand/ Geniuses rewind me like/….wait a second, maaaan!/…
This is only the beginning it seems for the man who picked the name as an ode to the reinvention of oneself. And like the mythical bird who rose from the ashes to come back stronger than ever, watch for the one they call Jaiden Phoenixx to come out and change the rap game once again.
Flame on.
