Singer / Songwriter / Choreographer JaFar began his performance career in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. As a teenager, he danced and sang in various productions and studied ballet, street dance and freestyle at a local dance studio. Subsequently, he moved to New York and furthered his dance studies at several well known dance companies.
JaFar has performed in Boston, the Berkshires, Miami, and Las Vegas as a dancer and in Boston, Miami and Las Vegas as a model.
In 1999, JaFar began composing his own music. The end result is the first CD, a musical story based on his true-life experiences. These original musical compositions invite the listener into his life. After many single releases, JaFar decided to compile a complete CD finished in 2008, entitled “215 Flashback”. This CD contains a diversity of styles, instrumentation, and lyrics designed to appeal to a wide audience. Currently, JaFar has over 33 songs completed and is working on his 2nd CD “40 In the ATL”

JaFar has also won the Editor’s Choice Award for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry presented by Poetry.Com and the International Library or Poetry for the years 2006, 2007, & 2008 for “What Did I Do?” and “Can’t Go Back”.
