Like a character from a comic strip, lead singer and founder, Jade Steel, is mysterious, sexy, and exciting while Emerald Triangle is more than just a band, they are a multimedia collective. Together, Jade Steel and Emerald Triangle are a feast for the eyes and ears as they take their audience on a journey through one mans imagination. At age 15, Jade started his first band a punk group called, Corrupted Youth, followed by the metal band, Cold Steel. In 1999 he met producer, Andre' Johnson and the two got together and collaborated a mix of island beat songs entitled, Jade Steel. The album made its way across the U.S.A. Jamaica, South America , Australia , Southeast Asia and Africa and is still in rotation around the world. Jade’s second album, Jade Steel presents the Emerald Triangle, started off his comic book character. The tongue and check parody mixed with political metal and funk content became an instant classic.Jades’ third album, Tales of the Rondo, “combines videos, sci-fi comic book, and animation,” said Jade. “It's been the most well received album I have ever been a part of.” Tales of the Rondo is a sci-fi comic book adventure set to stylized rock, documenting the adventures of Jade Steel and allies through an intergalactic and interdimensional run for his life. Illustrator Marc Nordstrom lends his unique talents to help bring the story to life, animating the fascinating cast of characters in Tales of The Rondo both inside the CD insert/comic book and projected behind the band during their highly energized live performances. Currently Jade Steel & Emerald Triangle are preparing to release their fourth recording, Children of Humboldt.
