Industrial Water is a music project, focused on computer based composition supported by real recordings of instruments to make new samples, sounds and tunes. There is a wide variety of instruments being used, from ethnical ones like indian tabla, sitars, mouth harp, a lot of didgeridoos, tibetan bowls, to western ones like basses and harmonicas being recorded.It has some tastes of IDM, experimental electronic, minimal, electro and industrial, turning into an mix of genres for a unique original sound.
The project has started and is currently based on Madrid, Spain; but it has been founded with an international scope in mind.
The core of the creation and composition process is the freedom to ellaborate original soundscapes, in tempo, rhythms, harmonies, sounds being used. And at the same time, freedom to explore in counter-rhythms, mix impossible harmonies or even use an improvised saucepan as a natural flanger generator for voices and a kalimba.
There are no determinant influences in the creation, no direct economic goals, no pre-targeted audience, no social recognition being seeked, even not expecting you to like this music at the very first moment.
Maybe, one thing that makes me to do this work is to give some alternatives to ears seeking for really different soundscapes. Other thing is to awake some minds from the pre-configured tunes they are used to hear on and on. I would like to give a hit to those minds, and after listening to Industrial Water music they are not ever the same as before.
