This singer/songwriter is considered a lyrical genius. Tony Stallworth, II was born and raised in Motown…Detroit, MI. Growing up with his mother, grandmother and aunts, he listened only to Motown legends in his family home. The Temptations, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, have become his role models as wells as his inspiration. As a graduate of the Cherry Hill School of Performing Arts, Tony P is versed in stage presence, acting and dance. As a member of the school's five man singing group (Natural Voices) he played a major part in all the school's major and minor productions. Tony P's accomplishments, include being the most versatile student in his graduating class. Tony P's work with local organizations…Youth Under Construction ("YUC") (giving local Metro Detroit children a voice in positive Hip Hop) and Detroit Summer Performing Arts Program, has given him the opportunity to perform as well as teach. He has given vocal and dance lesson for each organization. As a member of YUC, Tony and his three man group, Natural Voices (later known as 31D) performed all over the Metro Detroit area. After recording with such engineers as Bruce Irvin and producers, Kern Brantley, Luke, Steven Mayfield, Warren Avenue and Kevin Sharpe, 31D were on their way. Unfortunately, things came to a sudden stop and Tony P was forced into a sole career. After winning a spot to be in "Making of The Band 4", Tony P decided that he should take a chance and record his sole album. Although it has been a difficult transition, Tony P has mastered the art of merging the marriage of Motown's smooth, soulful, classic sound with the rich, hot, energetic pace of Hip Hop to create his own distinctive Hip Hop and R&B sound. Tony has been called a triple threat, as a singer, writer and producer, but there is far more talent wrapped up in this highly intelligent young man. His acting and dancing skills are phenomenal. He has a classic look, style and his presence speaks for itself. He is reminiscent of what Motown has always produced…success stories.
